Royal Navy Delights from Starling Models

WHILE MANY ship modellers will be eagerly building their 1/700 Ark Royals from Starling Models, the company has yet more goodies in store for 2018, namely a River-class Frigate and T-class submarine.

The former is in 1/350 scale and will be a full-hull resin offering, with photo-etched (PE) brass detail, and turned brass parts for a Royal Navy vessel. It’s intended for release shortly after July’s issue of AMW goes to press, and will be priced at approximately £75.

Royal Navy submarine fans are in for a treat, as the second release is the T-class Group III vessel HMS Tabard, which will be available in 1/350 as a single kit and 1/700, the latter supplying sufficient parts for one full-hull and one waterline model. These will also be accompanied by PE and turned brass accessories and are planned for the third quarter of 2018.
