Returning Shermans

Dragon is re-releasing two of its 1/35 M4 Sherman kits with newly tooled individual-link Magic Tracks, in place of the original boxings’ DS Styrene items.

The El Alamein Sherman (6617) appears to have the same marking options as the 2008 iteration, but now complements this with the new tracks, plus slide-moulded lower hull. As with most Dragon offerings, there is a photo-etched (PE) brass fret for engine grilles and vent mesh, while the track guards are also fashioned from this material, providing scale thickness. Unsurprisingly, its M4A1 DV (6618) follows the same format, although it doesn’t have PE mudguards.
