Wingnut Wings’ ‘Steel Dove’

The final peak into the November 2018 issue features Wingnut Wing’s superb 1/32 Jeannine Stahltaube, with Airfix Model World contributor Steve Budd utilising multiple weathering techniques to produce his realistic replica, all of which are described in this 9-page build.

There’s an Airfix trio of 1/48 Blenheim and 1/72 Phantom FGR.2 and Me 262B-1a, all supplemented by engaging history/in-focus articles, while Phantom also benefits from a cutaway diagram. Eduard’s 1/48 Harrier GR.7/9 wraps up the aviation input to this issue, as Richard Spreckley makes his first contribution to AMW.

In keeping with our multi-genre premise, sci-fi fans are treated to a build of Revell’s re-released 1/14 Landspeeder, while military modellers are shown how to convert Italeri’s M925 truck into a notional Vietnam War transportation unit gun truck. That’s not all, as Revell’s 1/24 Trabant 601 completes this packed issue, with inspiration for the build coming from Eduard’s Bunny Fighter Club artwork.

With 24 extra pages, November’s AMW is great value, packed with builds, news, show reports and reviews of all your favourite subjects.

The magazine is on sale and can be ordered from Should you wish to subscribe (at AMW subscription), you will generally receive the magazine before it’s in the shops.
